About Us

Our History

Edgley Contracting provides electrical installations, maintenance and to the Construction Industry and Property & Facilities Management sector. Steady growth through continued success has enabled us to diversify into the management of industrial, commercial and fit-out projects for clients large and small.

We work directly for an expanding portfolio of clients including blue chip companies such as Marpauls Southern Ltd, Level Construction, Nordic Construction. A number of schools and hospitals also feature on our client list.

We have recently become the number one electrical contractor recommended for domestic home extensions with Dartford Council and Bexley Council.

Our Work

In addition to electrical installations, we are often required to act as the main or principle project contractor, carrying out a comprehensive range of fit-out services.

Working in conjunction with our mechanical partners, we provide full mechanical and electrical design and detailed project installation.

Our impressive IT infrastructure allows us to communicate directly with clients to show 2D and 3D designs and plans of intended installations, often shown in situ onscreen. It’s a service intended to confirm exactly what you had in mind.niceic-logo

All of our engineers are trade certified to Part P building requirements legislation.

And, since 2005, it has been law that all work requiring the disconnection of any part of your electrical system must only be undertaken by a fully qualified and certified electrician. To comply, you must obtain a certificate of authenticity for any work that is done on your system. We can provide that certification.

You’ll find our charges are fair and competitive. Prior to the commencement of any job you will receive a fully itemised quotation explaining what is to be done, in what time frame and at what price. There will be no hidden extra and no nasty surprises. If additional work is required, you will be informed of the cost and advised what it covers in order to complete the task.

It is extremely important to us that you are fully satisfied with every aspect of the service we provide including our charging structure.

HOME ELECTRICS

Edgley Contracting are endorsed by the NICEIC and authorised to carry out all types of domestic electrical work, under PART P, from installations in special locations ie. Kitchens & bathrooms the complete rewiring of your property, to the installation of white goods or the simple relocation of a plug socket.

Our engineers adhere strictly to the current Part P building requirements and are fully qualified to carry out work to the highest standard.


EMERGENCY REPAIRS

Emergency electrical repairs and electrical faults are hazardous and in extreme cases can cause fatalities. There is never any time to lose and the situation requires immediate attention.

We can get an electrician to you quickly, often within the hour, to deal with any electrical emergencies.

Our engineer will speedily diagnose the fault(s) quickly and perform all the repairs necessary to make your property safe and get your system fully functioning. No matter how long it takes, or how far out of normal working hours, it’s our job to see that your system is safe.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Got an older house? Then your wiring may not be up to scratch. Old fuse boards can be dangerous. Old wiring may need to be changed to comply with current regulations, especially if you are thinking of selling your property soon.

PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING (PAT)

Portable Appliance Testing is a routine check of all electrical appliances in your workplace to make sure there are no faults and no nasty surprises lurking where you cannot see them until it is too late.

To us, prevention is always far less costly than curing the problem after an event has occurred.

Under the law, all employers and landlords must ensure that appliances are safe and well maintained. PAT testing undertaken by a qualified electrician will certify that they are safe and fully comply with all current health and safety regulations.

All appliances tested are labelled with a dated pass certificate or stickered with an appropriate notice of failure.


SECURITY & ENTRANCE SYSTEMS
